Kyaw Swar Htet (b. 1957) is another short story specialist from the second city of Mandalay. A medical doctor by training, his short stories, at least until 2000, were originally written in a blend of romance and medicine. After 2000, he turned to science fiction and horror, his most notable work being ‘Lwin Tee Khaung Ghost and Other Stories’ (2006). With over a 100 short stories published between 1980 to 2007, Kyaw Swar Htet still lives and writes in Mandalay.
